Dubai!!!

Long time ago since i posted. I'm just still veeery busy with school. Unfortunately i won't make it in August as i planned. Today i found out it's almost a year ago since i went to Dubai. Good reason for me to finally write about it! I guess it will be a long story with alot of pictures.
Dubai
It never came on my mind to go to Dubai but after seeing programmes about the buildings in Dubai on tv i felt like i needed to go there. Then last year when i was in third grade of University we went to Dubai. Yes, you read it right, i went to Dubai with school! (how amazing!) In May last year we flew with Emirates directly to Dubai. During the landing i already saw the amazing Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the earth!) and lots and lots and lots of desert. The flight took about 6 hours but with a personal tv with Tamer Hosny music and delicious food it was like i just got into the airplane when we already landed! As soon as i got out of the airplane there was a welcome sign: Welcome to Dubai.

2. Welcome to Dubai!

After getting a stamp in my passport (expected it to be great and beautiful as everything in Dubai, in reality you almost can't see it in my passport) we took a bus to our hotel. To quickly dumb our backpacks and go see Dubai! First we went to go see the Aquarius hotel, sleeping here is very expensive so we only went to SEE it unfortunately.

The hotel from inside. It is even bigger then this with beautiful fishes! Amazing!

Entrance hall (turn your head haha) This statue is totally handmade with glass. Nevermind the crazy puppet in the front, my friend was being crazy.
The next day me and the rest of my schoolmates had an A-MA-ZING desert safari. Experience to never forget!
Dubai desert
Dubai desert. The trip was amazing i was totally shaked and we screamed alot from fun. The driver was south african so the radio was playing south african music the whole trip. Like we were in a south african safari! After the trip we went to eat in a Bedouin place in the middle of the desert. Arabian food, i adore it! While having dinner there was a woman belly dancing. She wasn't really good but there were also 2 women making henna and ofcourse i wanted to have henna on my hand!

On our way back we travelled on a normal road (Alhamdulillah) if they didn't for sure my food wouldn't stay in it's place!
Next day in the morning me and my friend went to burj al Khalifa, the highest building in the world! This building is 828 m. high! It was also pretty hard to get it on camera! Me and my friend went all the way up to the observation deck. From level 1 to level 122 in 1 minute by elevator!
Burj al Khalifa
As you can see it almost didn't fit on camera!
Burj al Khalifa view
The amazing view! (As you can see on the left there is "the world" made of islands!)
Furthermore, me and my friend went to the Ibn batutta mall. A beautiful, big mall. Every part of the mall is made in a different style: Egypt, Persian, Chinese etc. It's really a must visit!

In the evening we saw the great fountain, also the biggest in the world. It was so beautiful, romantic, perfect, it gave me goose bumbs and tears in my eyes. (Must watch on youtube!) Next day we went to a very luxurious hotel with my school. There even was a Skihall inside the hotel! Like seriously?? Isn't that insane?

After this me and my friend decided to go to a "bazaar" an old Arabian market, to shop. But we found out that Dubai is a really "new-made" country so we couldn't find any. We went to a very luxurious (and expensive) one and bought some souvenirs for family and friends back home. After this it was finally time to go to burj al Arab (only 7-star hotel in the world!)
Burj al Arab
When we arrived at the start of the road to the hotel we had to show papers that we were allowed to enter. A train was coming to pick us up. But me and my friend are very active so we went walking. Everybody was shocked cause no one ever walks! (its about 3-5 mins to get there haha) We were very excited to enter. Didn't had time to shower cause of the busy day, our hair was messed up and so were our "out of the backpack-clothes". People kept asking or we had papers to enter. YES PEOPLE WE DO! Then we went upstairs for our high tea (50 euro's per person booked on internet, totally worth the money!)

Food burj al Arab
It was great! Great food, great drinks and O MY GOD beautiful building! The employees were amazing and did everything to make this a great experience! We are both, poor, students and out of nothing soaked in luxury. For the other people there it was normal but we kept making pictures and laughing!

After this great trip it was time for me and my friend to catch the train on to our next experience: MALAYSIA! (more about that next time)

Dubai
Bye bye Dubai, inshAllah i get back soon! But with my love!
